Genealogical research consultations typically cover the following:

  1. Reviewing the client's current knowledge of their family history and research goals.
  2. Guiding the best research strategies, including the selection of appropriate sources and databases.
  3. Assisting with the interpretation of research findings and assisting with the analysis of genealogical data.
  4. Providing recommendations for further research and next steps.
  5. Reviewing and critiquing existing research and family trees.
  6. Discussing ethical considerations in genealogical research, such as privacy laws and responsible use of records.
  7. Providing feedback on the client's research plan and report.

Our research plans consist of: 

  1. Research goals and objectives
  2. A straightforward research question or problem statement
  3. A list of sources to be consulted and the reasons for selecting them
  4. A methodology for collecting and analyzing data
  5. A timeline for completion of the research
  6. A budget for any necessary expenses, such as travel or access to archives
  7. A plan for documenting and presenting the results of the research.

  5. A presentation of the research findings in a clear and organized manner, including genealogical charts, family group sheets, or timelines.
  6. Documentation of all sources used, including citations and sources of original records.
  7. A discussion of any limitations of the research and suggestions for future research.
  8. A conclusion that summarizes the research findings or answers the research question.
  9. Appendices or annexes, if applicable, containing additional information or supporting documentation.
